We have a page that we use to track and consequently redirect marketing traffic to the appropriate page with a 302 reroute. As a result, our redirect page have more inbound links than any other page on our site. As we don't really want the redirect page to index within major SE, a bit the resulting page(s), we're wondering if we should be using a 301 instead.
example:
a.com/redirect.htm?id=1 ---- > a.com/productpage.htm
Right now nearby are lots of inbound links to redirect.htm?id=n1, n2, ... n1000 and vastly few links, according to the SE. to the product page (even though n1-n1000 all join to the productpage).
Answers: Perhaps this site about 301 redirect may be able to give a hand you.
