Answers: If you blocked a person he won't know that but he will other see you offline,he won't be able to dispatch you IM as his IMS won't reach you anymore,you can see whether he is online or not but he can't see your status,If you delete him he can know that if he clicked on tools > options > privacy > panorama who has added you on his messenger detail :he won't find your name nor your e-mail address anymore so he would be sure that you did delete him from your record.

If you block somebody I believe that it only shows you are offline. Unless they have a program similar to Messenger Discovery. This program has adjectives sorts of nifty features and tells you when folks add/delete/block you from there messenger index.

No they can't know you've blocked them .. it will just look close to you never come online. unless somebody adds you and the personality you blocked into a conversation (so there is three of you) and the other human being will be able to see that your online and that you've blocked that human being !
You wouldn't think so, as after its not the greatest proteciotn for you when you've done the right thing. As that party might try to block you in return, so i would articulate your safe.
no, they will know nought... as far as they'll be concerned you just never come online, they dont know they're blocked.
If they use a program similar to aMSN or pidgin --formerly gaim-- they may notice it. There are some other programs that permit you do that also.
