I hold a huge site near a folder that contains around 40gb of files, i am moving servers so i call for to put adjectives that folder contained by an archive so i can hopefully freshly wget the archiev to the brand new server via ssh. But for some object when ever the archive get to roughly speaking 4gb, it seem to start adjectives over again, go stern to zilch and continues to bring to 4gb and consequently subsidise to 0. Is it timing out or something?

Sounds indeed resembling a filesystem problem. The solution would be to use the multi volume switch (-M). A little description of how it works can be found within the sources below.
Sounds resembling it might be a report system issue... Perhaps the drive can't govern a single folder that size.
