One of my pcs in my cafe is no longer reception the web. I checked on the IP address using command prompt and it have a drastically different one from the others on equal see. The others including the server hold like peas in a pod sets of numbers release the ending one, but this one have completely different ones, and I somehow can't achieve the LAN to automatically detect settings (I click the checkbox alright, but next to no effect. It also no longer appears on my server lower than "workgroup computers". What could be the do? How do I fix this?

Try this if you are using DHCP,
Left click the Start button
Left click Run, type "cmd" minus the quotes after press the Enter key
Type "ipconfig /release" lacking the quotes later press the Enter key
Type "ipconfig /renew" short the quotes next press the Enter push button.
Are you using DHCP or are you doing static address? Go into control panel, net connections, right click on the connection, double click TCP/IP, and put within and address that fits the structure of the others. Be sure that the subnet is indistinguishable.
If you haven't already done so, disconnect the troublesome PC from the exchange cards cable that your other PCs are attached to, dally at most minuscule 20 second for an internal DHCP timeout to go off, after plug the PC hindmost contained by.
When the PC is reconnected, the first item it should do is automatically request an IP address over the LAN. Your server should hear this request, and automatically convey it one to use to be exact from alike IP series that you're seeing on your other machines.
Since this PC have a markedly different IP address, I would suggest that until that time doing the above, you first check that not a soul have be monkeying around near that apparatus's LAN settings. If you're using Internet Explorer 7, progress to Tools, select Internet Options, select the Connections tab, and click on "LAN Settings". Check that your automatic detection settings haven't be "unchecked" by someone who may enjoy taken the choice to manually enter an IP address on the tool.
Someone or something messed beside your gridiron settings on that box. There is also the slight possibility that your server or router does not hold adequate ip numbers to dynamically assign one to that computer. If ips are dynamically assigned, I would breed sure you enjoy satisfactory of them to make a contribution out.
After that run some virus/spyware checkers on the box and take home sure it is verbs. If you are using Windows you can hold the server cause you a lattice disk that you can help yourself to over and install on the other box. I would try that. Press start and select Help and Support and turn upside down on Network. Also don't overlook the certainty a lead or wireless card may be broken.
If your appliance is not showing a cable unplugged restrictive, it may be you don't enjoy ample allocations for dhcp for all the machines you enjoy. If so stir to the router configuration and increase the number of allowed address. Be aware, if any of the machines are wireless and your wireless is unencrypted, anyone locally could be stealing your nouns, including using up your dhcp allocations. The curious address start 169. probably, this is the MS evasion when dhcp is out of commission.
