I enjoy comcast cable, a modem provided by comcast, and a linksys router. For awhile immediately, i lose adjectives internet nouns unevenly, but im still taking in an ip and that. I'm not a dumb near computers so please do not suggest "ipconfig" "restarting modem/router" or "cable plugged in"?
What I'm thinking...Modem is a 10 Mbps, and the Router is a 100 Mbps...and that cause problems and cause the internet to go wrong for me. It's a wrt54g router, i dont use the wireless. My bro mentioned something in the region of the router settings and shifting something to net the router function also at 10 mbps, but the newer linksys do not enjoy that substitute.
Has anyone hear of anything similar to that? Or enjoy any other solutions?
btw, internet does not disconnect at adjectives, when i enjoy it set up cable modem directly to my computer (not using the router at all).
Thanks

contact OEM (which in your casing is Linksys) for the correct configuration/settings of your router.
The same exact piece happen to me. When this happen to my end computer they told me it be a virus...We found out it be the "I love you virus"
Good ask! I own comcast also and it does like peas in a pod article. It's really irritating! I hope someone can minister to!
are you using a cable splitter because the one the cable company provides are total crap i would find constant disconnects only close to your describing and after chitchat to close to the millionth tech guy he said to stir return with a large finish cable internet splitter for approaching $11 at radio shack and i havent have any of the problems since and i use matching modem and router you are using
This happen to me when my roommate is using bittorrent or a similar type of program. The upload deeply kill any the router or floods the nouns's upload bandwidth.
