I hold a telstra USB modem and am trying to use it on a laptop. It installs correctly and everything but does not dial. It simply comes up near no dial tone detected. It be working previously but consequently cut out. What can i do to fix it?

See if your cable is plugged into the wall?
Unplug your usb modem and after plug it rear surrounded by. Check your internet connections and see if it is enabled by going to start>control panel>internet connections.

Check the condition of the cable, also that your phone socket is live.
