Computer Internet Router?

Dear SafeFeel.com,
I not long installed a Clean Install of Windows Vista Ultimate on my Computer. Before that I used to run Windows XP Home. My internet be configured through a WG111 Netgear Router. Now the problem I am have is that I hold installed the Required Netgear Software for Vista, but when I insert the USB Router into my computer instead of getting one hoot ( which i assume channel that the computer have detected a device) i receive two fast beep. Now usually when A Netgear router is detected by the computer the Netgear program should start, but it doesn't contained by this suitcase.

I enjoy not updated Windows Vista so it may be a problem of outdated or incompatible drivers. What should i do?, what should i download?, how should i fix it?.

Please Help, as I really want to connect to the internet.

Any Contribution will be appreciated.

Thankyou

P.S: I reckon the double sound the horn of inserting the USB Router have a significant role contained by this.

Answers: Check the Device Manager to spawn sure the router and adapter are working correctly.

Then check Network Connections to see if your local nouns nouns is both connected and what IP address/default gateway is have. You should hold IP and DG from the router (something approaching 192.168.1.x for IP and 192.168.1.1 for DG).
did you check to put together sure your routers software is compatible near vista? move about to the routers manufacturer website and look for drivers or downloads and see if they enjoy vista drivers.. accurate luck.
