Answers: 1) Yes. It doesn't event what open-handed of domain our window network environment you enjoy set up. Just engender sure your router does provide DHCP services (as most do).

2) Not if you DHCP extent and environment are set up correctly. There are several articles within the Microsoft KB in connection with this.

3) You can't really set up an environment that have two DHCP servers giving out alike IP's. You could, however, hold two DHCP server running together, respectively assigning an IP from 2 different pools. i.e. DHCP #1 = 192.168.1.10 - 125 and DHCP #2 = 192.168.1.126 - 254. This assumes you don't own more clients than what would fit within respectively IP capacity.
If you are using SBS later no you cannot for point 1 and point 3

point three - you should create two scopes one that starts at speak x.x.x.2 through to 127 later on the other area (machine) do 128 through 254.

Hello,

Yes you can. You would hold specify what benign of router you own, but most routers enjoy a DHCP skill to meet people your computers. As far as the backup server you would enjoy to create a routing table, judge by your inquiry. If it matter what computers achieve what IP address you might as all right assign adjectives of the nodes (PCs) static IPs instead of using a DHCP server.

Good Luck!
If your window Domain is using DHCP it could block others from logging into the Domain.

The solution is to own the server or another computer setup to be the simply one on the Domain to see the router and own adjectives acess to the internet through router outdo through that server or computer.

As far as a backup DHCP, this may be of interest to you.
