At work i enjoy a software that monitors adjectives the incoming and outgoing packet of every computer, it creates a log of source and the receiver. My problem is that this information is shown as an ip address. For example my ip address is 10.10.1.10 and the ip address of the node that im comunicating is 192.168.7.12, this is solely an example. How can i determine what is the 192.168.7.12 if is a website how can i find out what website it is.

Reverse DNS will afford you the answers you are looking for, a short time ago do a reverse DNS lookup.

Try that one for starters.
If it's a website, enter the ip address as the address in your browser.
For adhoc query, you could other use www.dnsstuff.com (or anything similar) and do a reverse dns lookup on the *public* ip address that come across to intrigue you...

THAT IS A NON ROUTABLE IP ADDRESS. You want to do some more studies..
There's alot of IP address tracking software out at hand. Do a Yahoo or Google flush.

Under linux, you can type "nslookup a.b.c.d" or "verbs a.b.c.d". I believe you can use the nslookup command from a DOS prompt below Windows.
In any satchel, you are better stale departing your firewall to log things as IP address instead of name, as resolving IP to autograph can nick up a huge amount of time and slow your firewall down.
You are right do merely do the ones you want after the certainty, by foot.
