Hi Guys,
I currently use the DNS servers provided by DHCP per Cox:
68.2.16.30
68.6.2.30
68.1.208.30
I'm experiencing some "laggy" slow browsing, but fitting albeit inconsistent donwload speeds, but much better downloading than loading html content.
If I switch to OPENDNS or 4.2.2.1/4.2.2.x, even if my pings to the Cox provided DNS servers are better than those to OpenDNS or 4.2.2.x, will I see an raise?
Thanks!

It won't serve if the ping times to 4.2.2.1 (this is if truth be told Level3's DNS) are longer than what you're using very soon.
My situation is only the differing. The DNS my ISP give me is 13 hops away! as revealed by traceroute. Since I if truth be told dial surrounded by on Level3's queue, by switching to 4.2.2.1, I am individual two hops away from the DNS and the ping times are around one-sixth. Since the browser have to look up every URL, this make things somewhat faster. The more lookups in that are, the faster it is. This won't sustain at adjectives next to download speed though.
