Broadband wallplate converter?

hi, i hold a dialup (phone) wall plate jack surrounded by my wall contained by my room, while my friend have a hi speed ethernet one (RJ-45) contained by his wall. Why? does this start when u lay down the house? close to what type of wallplates u want? powerfully, i tight-fisted, is nearby some course i can receive an ethernet jack on that same wallplate too? heres another model, which is my interview. is here a converter entry i can plug into my phone jack and on the other extension of the converter it have an rj45 jack? or an rj45 jack and a phone (dialup) jack? any other suggestions would assistance.


Answers: That Rj45 jack is connected to something somewhere - did you look in the crypt for grating cable? The RJ45 wallplates are with the sole purpose installed for the sake of hooking up a PC - you can install one yourself, but this port must be connected to a patch panel, switch, router or some piece of network equipment to be of any use.

There's no mode to "convert" a phone jack to a see jack - the physical cable that's run to that phone jack is 99% going to be for phone signal solely. If you required to, you could run Cat-5/5e/6 cable through the walls and trademark a information jack, but again - within's really no use unless you're connecting that jack to some piece of network hardware.
