First get sure they are using alike workgroup. Right click my computer and look below computer entitle.
Then brand name sure both hold the share folder enabled.
You can use the see wizard on XP and it will permit you generate a floppy to use surrounded by 2K. But I usually in recent times share both folders, and reboot respectively computer. If it doesnt work, afterwards use the make friends wizard.
