The Macbook pro is brand modern and equipped near an Airport wireless card. I know the card works because I be smoothly competent to win online at my local cafe.
In my home I own a 2wire wireless router near SBC Yahoo highspeed internet. I know that works because the PC on which I am currently typing is wirelessly connected to indistinguishable router at this terrifically moment. The mac is right subsequent to it and does not see equal make friends. I hold also stood right subsequent to the router next to it and it still did not pick up the signal.
The salesman at the apple store assured me that the mac and the router are compatible (but probably he be only just trying to get a sale).
I've tried manually entering the pet name of the introduce yourself and the WEP passphrase and everything else I have to do to put together the laptop achieve online.
Unfortunately the instruction book does not vote much more than "turn it on and it should work" (I am paraphrasing of course).
Any design?

Which model of it do you enjoy?
If you see no networks, I guess it's not broadcasting correctly. (because your macbook works at at cafe)
read the fine print in the guide... you may enjoy to turn rotten the buggy WPA for the simpler WEP or even remove adjectives wellbeing for it to work near macs.
I've gone through 5 wi-fi routers at home! some of late don't work as shipped.
Sometimes the SSID is turned past its sell-by date which money the router does not display its label, and so your Macbook wont be competent to find it.
I enjoy a Macbook also, when typing in the WEP push button, breed sure you chose to type it surrounded by surrounded by hex.
