I am using my laptop to work from home and I connect to my company's lattice near a VPN. However, the company lattice blocks some applications such as Yahoo IM. Also, I don't want to use the VPN when I access the internet. Is nearby a route to set up routing on my laptop so that it uses the VPN nouns for private address and my actual nouns to my ISP for public address? Also, is here a instrument to split DNS lookups or at tiniest try ISP first later VPN for the lookups?

I hope to GOD you can't. What you are requesting is call SPLIT TUNNELING. This is the worst nighmare of an IT department. If your computer be "split tunneled" to the corporate gridiron it would create a HUGE shelter hole. There is NO WAY to draw from around this from the client side, i.e. your computer. (And thank god for that) You are one of the users that we obsession the most (You know basically plenty to be hazardous :) :) :)
