Does anyone know what this technique? Renewing the IP address? The router is Linksys. It be working fine in the past when I have Bell South internet but I moved and presently enjoy comcast high-speed internet. HELP?? Thank you.

If powering down and rebooting does not pick up a strange IP address, click Start > Run > type cmd and press Enter. At the prompt type the following:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew
That will force the IP address to renew.
Power rotten the modem and the router. Allow them to power up fully. Restart your computer and it should pick up the topical IP address.
