I own comcast cable internet. The modem box say online, but my computer say the cable surrounded by not plugged surrounded by when it is. I call comcast and they told me to renovation my cat 5 cable to a usb. I did and it still didn't work. They said everything on their completion looks resembling it's working and that I might obligation unusual drivers. I brought it over to a friends and hooked it up to their internet and it worked! So what do I do? Comcast seem approaching no relief.

If your computer can connect to another lattice, afterwards I would right to be heard that it is a comcast problem. Did you recount them that you did not enjoy a problem at your friends house?
Try going to run, type in cmd <enter> consequently type within ipconfig /release <ent> type surrounded by ipconfig /renew <ent> type within exit and try to connect immediately.. if that doesn't work telephone comcast and relay them if you cannot connect through their service you will alter services. I have comcast, and that be up to me. It finished up one the modem box itself. I have to thieve it within to comcast and replace it. They will replace it for free.
OT: i own to read aloud comcast sucks they've lowered my internet speed but have jacked the prices up even sophisticated. they are lucky i dont enjoy any other internet company to run to because i would step ship surrounded by a heartbeat
