My operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit
My ISP is Optimum Online and I believe I hold Static IP.
I CAN any use Automatic DHCP or Static IP contained by my Wireless Router.
In the netwrk setup division, my local ip donate is 192.168.1.1 // subnet: 255.255.255.0
This is the tricky segment for me,
I enabled DHCP Server
Starting IP Address is "192.168.1.5"
Max numbers of DHCP users is "2" (I want it this path only).
Next Step, I go to my wireless lattice card and contained by the TCP/IPv4 Settings, I manually changed my IP to 192.168.1.5 // subnet 255.255.255.0 // def gateway 192.168.1.1 - In my other laptop I did equal exept 192.168.1.6. They're networkly connected but I cant connect to the INTERNET! I did this using the Static IP but no travel! It works when IPv4 is set to automatic obtain

I conjecture you necessitate to set one up as a "server" and the other as a "client" if they are on like peas in a pod meet people. Not really sure how Vista is set up.
DHCP basic function is to Automatically setting the host config settings (IP addersses and non-attendance gateway). I am not awareness why you want to circumvent this process? So, I would try alike process, set one up as "server" and one as "client" and disable the DHCP.
If you start DHCP at 5, you should put static address below 5. Your subnet and gateway settings look right. Confirm the address on one of the workstation's near ipconfig /all and ping the router at 198.168.1.1 to take home sure think are the opening yiou expect.
