I am currently study more or less network, and I enjoy set up a LAN within my house. I enjoy a Server running Windows SBS 2003 and I want to know how to share a harddrive as a all-purpose drive for adjectives users/computers to share on the see. (I want a U:\ Drive, for example, to store and share files glibly.)
Answers:
what I've see done within times past is:
create a folder on the server, on the drive that you want to share
"share" the folder by right clicking the folder, consequently the sharing tab
On the client:
be in motion to my computer/tools/map introduce yourself drive & browse to the folder that you simply created. There's a checkbox that say reconnect at login. do beside that what you want.
the shared folder will appear as a drive on the client
right click the untried drive and select properties, you will see that the foreign (logical)drive have alike capacity as the physical drive on the server.
