My plan is to buy a big storage device next to web connectivity, connect it to one of the lan ports on my wireless router and share the storage between my desktop (which is connected by another one of the lan ports) and my laptop (which connects by WiFi). I also want the two computers to retain their internet access via the router.
Is it as straight forward as it sounds or am I going to own to put a bit more thought into this? Will here be a problem access the storage as my laptop uses Vista premium and the desktop uses XP SP2?
