I freshly bought a brand different d-link router and its adjectives set up the xbox lives can connect and the prevalent computer can connect and my brothers laptop in recent times not mine and I restarted my computer does anyone know why? I own a gatway MA3 and earlier I installed this router I be competent to connect useing the other router.

Are you wireless or wired?
You might hold you TCP/IP setting on instruction manual and not automatic.
Goto Control Panel -> Network Connections
Right click on the exchange cards adapter you are using and selec properties. Scroll down to and select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on the properties button.
Make sure the General Tab the following option are preferred:
-Obtain an IP address Automatically
-Obtain DNS Server Automatically
On the Alternative Configuration tab label sure the following opportunity is special:
-Automatic Private IP Address
Back on the General Tab click on the Advanced Button. Under the IP Address Window it should say-so:
-DHCP Enabled.
Try rebooting immediately..
