how do one find the deeply protocol configured within for a web (RIP or OSPF) besides loging in or telneting into the switch?
can this be found via command chain? or any tool out near?

These protocols are set up on the router and you'll enjoy no access to this information from the desktop unless you are NetAdmin.
They're probably both mortal used, but OSPF will usually be defaulting.
One means of access you can find out is using a sniffer. OSPF uses multicast and depending on the performance of RIP it uses multicast also. The specific multicast address are researchable.
