Ok capably i bought a router.. i hold giant speed so that medium i own a cable modem.. i want to connect to my xbox 360.. can anyone comfort me. I dont know how to start. I if truth be told want to use a ethernet cable to connect beside wires to my xbox but my cable modem singular have 1 ethernet port. So how do i use my router to enjoy both access to the internet and know how to connect to my xbox using a ethernet cable?

If you look at the fund of your router, you will see 6 differnt ports (mostly), find the port that say "WAN".
As u said, here is solely one ethernet cable coming out from your MODEM. Plug that cable to the WAN port on your router. and use another ethernet cable to connect from your router to your xbox. You can use any of those 5 ports gone to connect your xbox.
i put my wireless router subsequent to my ps2 and connected the router to both the modem and the ps2. I bought a pci wireless adapter for my desktop within the other room. The setup works pretty economically and I would recommend it.
