I just now get my laptop surrounded by the post (its a dell) and I'm trying to connect it to the internet. When I connect it say that the signal strength is strong but that I hold restricted to no connectivty and thus I cannot access the internet.
Does anybody know what I can do to fix this?

If you can see the "strong" signal (meaning that you can arrive at your router, gateway, or WAP), the problem is one of two things:
Your firewall is blocking you from access, where shield you necessitate to adjust your firewall settings, or,
You hold not configured your see settings to allow HTTP connections.
More than possible you enjoy the router set up wrong physically. I would check all cable and connections again. Make sure it is plugged in to your cable modem and do a power cycle on everything.
You can hold the window wireless program try to resolve the problem, but I would start next to your router. Set the router final to factory default usually here is a small button on flipside or surrounded by the posterior you press the button and it will reset router.
Word of advice here, you should know adjectives the router settings first up to that time doing this.
