I am traveling for work and be thinking I may requirement internet access while I'm away. I don't know too much around computers and wireless, but I hear if you bring an ethernet cord, you can most probable plug it surrounded by and receive internet access from your hotel room, is that true?
I know my laptop already have a built within wireless nouns, but it is not connected (I usually use my Comcast broadband modem near a USB ethernet adapter). If I required wireless access doing a tour, would I entail to simply buy a wireless card (In the sense that I won't be effective a modem) or will I stipulation to subscribe to a unusual wireless service and go and get a card, and/or install the program on my laptop?

You enjoy to check near the hotel. Some provide service, and some don't. You wouldn't enjoy to buy a wireless card. You already said your laptop have one, again, check next to the hotel But first you should address to your someone at work since it's a work related issue. They will advocate you.
I in recent times switch my laptop on and the integrated wireless finds a nouns. Switch on your wireless lan and see what you come up beside earlier buying any peripherals.
Most hotels provide HSI at little or no cost to their customers. Ask the hotel. Have someone from your department show you how to connect.
buy a wireless card, for example AT&T. one you go and get it, you will take-home pay roughly $30 a months or so. You computer will work approaching a cellphone, almost everywhere!
If your laptop already have a wireless card, you are obedient to travel. Most Hotels/Coffee shops provide free wireless internet access.
