185 Kb/s download speed is slow.
B=byte; b= bit; 8b = 1B
185 KB/s = 1480Kb/s which is perfect for DSL.

185 Kb/s download is slow. If the speed check results are that slow own them come out and repair it. Get the speed you are paying for. Be sure they check the speed at your house; preferably at your modem.
===================
I use AT&T they hold 3 DSL speeds.

For monitor streaming video you inevitability a measured download speed of just about 2 Mbps or faster.

AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet Express Package
384 Kbps to 1.5 Mbps download speed
128 to 384 Kbps upload speed $14.99/ month

AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet Pro Package
1.5 to 3.0 Mbps 384 to 512 Kbps $24.99 /month

AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet Elite Package
3.0 to 6.0 Mbps 384 to 608 Kbps $34.99
you should unequivocally be getting a faster nouns. you will want to phone up your tech support to trouble shoot. if you own att you can nickname 18777223755 24 hours a afternoon
It depends on the bag that you hold near your ISP. Find out what your nouns is rate at. The typical DSL nouns is 80% of what the ISP rates it at.

The speed does come across pretty slow though. (Assuming you are conversation nearly 185 kilobits per second, not 185 kilobytes per second. There is a difference.)
