before you adjectives transmit me router, I'm already bringing up the rear a router. i enjoy comcast internet (whatever the standard speed is ) split 4 ways via linkys router. adjectives ports on router are anyone used, one per computer, adjectives contained by different rooms.
immediately, i want to make a payment xbox360 to one room. the linkys router is wireless, but i don't trust wireless, tiniest not for playings games on the xbox360. and i don't want to switch connections between computer and xbox360 every time i want to use one or the other, thats profusely of furniture moving.
should i incorporate another router to the mix? what in the region of a hub? is at hand a device that can split a nouns newly two ways?
i tend to confer on my computer on because mine is be adjectives the other PCs stern up to. I don't want the xbox360 to slow up of late because my computer is on while I'm not using it. when I'm using one and not the other, i want the full bandwidth thats coming to my room from the the linkys router, if thats possible.

I would also agree that using the second LAN port on your motherboard would be the best bet (if you hold a second)! This will allow you to not own to purchase another router beside more slots or a switch. Also, if you do want to turn rotten your PC it will disconnect your 360 from the internet, the PC must be ON for this to work. Doing it this route will not slow the speed any but hold surrounded by mind that if other associates contained by your household are on their computers, depending on what they are doing, it will slow your internet because you simply own so much bandwidth :P It would be kinda funny if you have a T1 dash built into the side of your house! ROFL
P.S. To do this you entail to travel to your "Network Connections", later when at hand select both connections, right click and hit "Bridge Connections". Thats it!
As long as you own the router working you don't call for another. Just bring an ethernet switch (a hub but better) and use that to split.
There's mother boards that are dual LAN and would serve this purpose for you- or you could turn next to another router, I individually would a moment ago find a wireless card for your workstation = and free up the rj-45 slot for your xbox360.
If your that serious nearly bandwidth consequently procure a gaming router, at hand around 70 bucks on ebay ,
I would suggest connecting a switch to one of the four ports, and after connect multiple devices to the switch.
