all the wires are hooked up correctly. but the internet isnot working...nor am competent to build phone call next to!
the phone bedside light should be on indicating connectivity..but its not!
what seem to be the problem?

are you on a DSL nouns? net sure you own DSL filter installed between all your phones and their phone jacks, and NO filter between the modem/router and it's wall jack.

http://www.bochterservices.com/onlinesto... they're mabye 3-4 inches long next to 4-5 inches of phone cord. Since DSL is carried over your phoneline you involve these to filter out the internet signal from the phone signals. If you don't hold the filter installed after your phone's won't work. If your house is wired for DSL consequently these may be integrated somewhere else in that system, in your outdoor phone crossroads box or at your home network station (if you hold one).
