Why can't I see Ubuntu's Desktop Effects on my AcerPower S285?

I own an AMD64 and I'm using Ubuntu for 64 Bit PCs

According to the sticky label, the computer be made on 29/06/2006

Answers: The desktop effects depend more on your video card than on the rest of the computer. The solitary 2 video card chipsets that own any haphazard of working efficiently are Nvidia and ATI. Unless you enjoy one and download the appropriate driver (which for presently are closed source and can not be included next to most linux distros) later the 3d effects won't work right.
Desktop Effects Is Still In Beta

Also It Depends On What Graphics Card Your Acer Has.
Anyway do you bring a white eyeshade for close to 20 secs
if yes you Graphics Card Is nOt Compatible

Hope This Helps
