I'm living in a building and the internet provided in it is through a LAN see. In other words, I connect from the wall jack to my laptop via a see cable.
So, I just this minute bought a Sitecom wireless broadband make friends router, and connected the WAN port to the wall-jack, but my laptop does not detect the router? :(
I setup and configured anything's required, but still no use :(

Since that LAN see is shared next to the rest of the building, I would not expect your router to work on it. Simply put, near's already a router between the building's jacks and the Internet, and I don't suppose you can stack routers similar to this.

That answer is moderately correct. WHat you want to do is connect your wall jack into a ethernet port in the router, not the WAN Port. The wan port is for communicating to your ISP using Internet COnnection Protocols impossible by home routers.
This is deeply using the routers hub function and the wireless Access Point function, not the WAN function. Now you should also configure the wireless portion of your router so the wireless radio is on and you hold name the SSID something you want your wireless nouns to be, let utter APT8 for example.
Now goto your laptop and turn on its wireless adapter and when you turn out wireless networks you should see APT8 contained by the account.
Connect to it. That should do it.
You don't entail a router, you entail a wireless access point, which you should be capable of purchase at indistinguishable place you get the router and it will set up roughly like peas in a pod agency. sure you can stack routers. It is a discomfort to port forward through them next to specialized applications. I suspect that your router's evasion address might be conflicting near the existing exchange cards address. Connect your laptop directly into your untried router beside a cable. Follow the directions that come next to it to program it to an "sour the wall address" (ie. 192.168.25.1). It is probably set to 192.168.1.1 as failure to pay. Also I recommend you jump to your wireless settings and input the MAC address from your laptop wireless adapter into the approved schedule and disallow any other devices to chitchat to it.
