A friend of mine asked me to install a copy of Windows XP Home on his computer because he doesn't close to the Vista that come beside it. This copy is a totally legit copy a short time ago ordered from Newegg, but the computer he have is from one of those rent to own places and he is afraid that if he misses a reimbursement they will come an repo it and what i'm wondering is okay I install this OS on his hardrive and they come and repo it will I be capable of basically format this drive and reinstall this OS on another computer that he get or will I enjoy to buy another copy even if its not on the other computer because of this Microsoft Activation crap?
Answers:
He should not verbs in the region of it. The rental individuals would still own to reformat beside Windows Vista that come next to the computer anyway. Just don't miss the payments.
Go for it... install Windows XP and be joyous.
Good luck and Happy Computing!
Don't miss the return! It'll exact lots of frustrations... resembling... own to rehash a investigational record, insted of your existing etc
Anyway, in that shouldn't be a problem near the installation of Windows XP
Build yourself a computer or buy a low cost computer from Dell or Gateway or HP. It is cheaper to own one instead of renting it ;-)
Any rental place will completely reformat the system and restore from their imaginative discs. Their lawyer insist on it:-)
When you re-install elsewhere, yes, you may encounter a problem beside activation... but adjectives you requirement to do is phone call MS and explain that you are the resourceful purchaser (keep the proof of purchase), you are removing the installation from one apparatus and putting it on another... they should furnish you a fresh knob. Until they desire to stop supporting XP, anyway.
Be for a moment bit evasive give or take a few "backward" installations... you'll stipulation to completely remove Vista and put on your XP from chisel (ie re-format)... and label sure that you own adjectives the critical drivers availabe, not adjectives of them come bundled within the OS.
This is especially true for D*ll machines...
Oh, and... if in that's a risk of losing the contrivance, variety sure he does regular backup!
