Hub:- It is similar to connecting 3 device together (i.e. modem + 2 computers). All 3 device can see respectively other on net and when any 2 device have a chat, 3rd have to dawdle. For 3 device you would not make out gridiron rite degradations much.
But when have 5 to 6 computers on hub, you can see framework execution halt. So it is cheap solution simply if you want to connect 2 or 4 lattice devices together as exchange cards.

Switch:- near switch, respectively computers see one and only switch. So adjectives 3 devices can discuss on meet people at same time and switch control the exchange cards conversation, have memory to store and forward notes. So polite lattice ceremonial.

Router:- it go one step forward than switch. It treat adjectives devices as on separate exchange cards allowing more control of gridiron traffic. i.e. you can own firewall, prevent one computer to verbalize to another or enjoy internet access etc.
You can't achieve 2 port switches, the minimum is 4. Also a switch will not allow multiple internet connections. You want a router to do this.
