How do you connect a computer to a wireless nouns using a wireless adapter?

I own a Linksys wireless usb adapter for a desktop computer. I installed the adapter and my computer say that I am connected to the internet, but I can not acquire a pattern page to connect or work. As okay it say that I am connect as peer to peer, what does this plan. I am a short time ago wondering what I involve to do to completly connect to the internet. Thanks

Answers: What exactly are you connecting into? If you hold an AD HOC / peer to peer nouns you are connected to some other computer not the internet. If the other computer is YOURS (I hope) and it is connected to the internet you can setup ICS (internet nouns sharing) to connect to the internet through that "Main" computer. Both machines own to be on for that to work.

If you a moment ago connect to ANY introduce yourself, you call for to be VERY cautious. Its bent and by connecting to another peer, they hold access to your electrical device!

In most cases, to connect to a router, you will use Infrastructure connects not peer to peer.

What you want to connect to the internet is a broadband nouns approaching DSL/Cable and a wireless router that YOU own and control which is connected to the internet. OR you can use HOT SPOTS which allow you to use an friendly internet nouns which I doubt your desktop will achieve. WIFI is short stock 200-400 foot in general
Hi,
the router you enjoy connected to have a WEP set, that's why you can't connect.
