As for my wisdom IP address is 4 bytes. So 255*255*255*255 computers can be connected. If thats the overnight case, what will take place when adjectives the IP address is taken up?

This is why dynamic IP address are used. The address can be re-issued when associates disconnect. Also the strange IPV6 protocol can bar what is currently virtually unlimited numbers. This will be brought into operation as soon as the IPV4 address run short.
