whenever I run ipconfig...the ip address is displayed. However, when i run ping yahoo.com it bring back a error message. What should I do to seize my wireless to work?

If you are assigned a local IP address, but you cannot ping an outside site, you may enjoy a problem beside your internet nouns. If possible, try a different DNS server (Domain Name Server).
try pinging www.yahoo.com
whats the error messege. try adding together the www.
ping www.yahoo.com have no genuine relation to wireless. Even if you see your IP address next to ipconfig, it won't bring up to date you if your wireless is kaput.
Make sure your wireless card is turned on, you should see a street light on when the wireless card is on, if it is not on, look for the button beside a radio antenna deity on it, and press the function(FN) push button and that statue knob to turn the wireless on. If the wireless is turned on you can try an ipconfig/flushdns next ipconfig/release and next ipconfig/renew and consequently reboot.
Or...you could try pushing the reset on the router.
