I originally run cat5 cable for phone and simply using 1 duet. This run be from the phone box on the side of the house. I later run a cat5e cable from the phone box to my tv room. I very soon want to use 2 of the pairs from respectively run and splice them together to run a lattice RJ45 nouns. Preferably 100Mb. Is this possible? I've spliced the wires, but am not getting the proper connections. I hold an RJ45 connector at respectively bring to a close. I'm using T-568B at the connectors and a straight through cable on respectively ending.

No they cant contained by short, the copper wont be shielded if you splice them and signal loss will be so extreme you'd obtain nil I suspect, here are tools to do this though which are sorta thumbnail size and you plug your RJ45 nouns into respectively closing stages.
I've never see anyone successfully do this though so I dont suggest its possible.

this is the correct standard. Test continuity of your connections. If it is a notebook to laptop nouns buy one cross-over cable for the nouns to one mechanism. This is simpler than trying to receive cross-over on you own cable.
