I am trying to connect to an access point to be precise within a key house (i am within a guest house 110 foot away). I could find one 'slab' next to a regular antenna, but when i bought a "Cantenna" (signal boosting antenna) it increased the hotel to TWO and have a steady 11-18 MBPS, but wont 'Axquire A Network Address'!!
I removed the signal boosting antenna and replaced it next to the aged antenna, and after I am competent to finally connect, a net address is successfully acquire.
What could be the problem? Why wont it acquire an address? What can I do to solve this problem?

Figure out if nearby is any encryption man used and whether you want a push button to access the make friends. Whoever is running the wireless router should know this.
Also, budge to control panel, initiate make friends connections and cause sure you are any assigning yourself an IP address if DHCP is disabled (again, you enjoy to ask whoever is running the wireless router), or get everything automatically, if the router assigns IP address dynamically.
