Windows 2003 server routing accross NICS?

Hi

I am trying to setup a Windows 2003 server as an SMTP e-mail relay using the smarthost fact inside Simple Mail Transfer Protocal component of Windows 2003 server.

NIC1 10.0.0.1 - Inbound from Firewall
NIC2 192.1.205.25 - Outbound to LAN Exchange server.

How do I take it to route from NIC1 to NIC2? Do I hold to do anything or should it work?

Answers: In short, you obligation to use the "route" command to configure a static route between the two networks. Search for the word "route" contained by Windows 2003 Help and Support. The first hit should be "Route: Command Line Reference". Overall, Windows Help is means of access better than it be within times gone by. It is the best place to start when you own a press more or less Windows in our time. After person so useless for years frequent don't even try to use it anymore. Time to administer it a second providence. Good luck!
FYI: 192.1.x.x is public IP meet people. You should not use public introduce yourself blocks on your LAN. I recommend a 192.168.x.x, 172.16.x.x or 10.x.x.x which are defined in the TCP/IP standards for private use.
