Computer keep crashing. What can be the problem and if at all possible, what is the solution?

Every time I turn on my computer from standby, it crashes and restarts for some principle. It other say it's a driver problem but I contemplate my drivers are okay. I other distribute reports to Microsoft but they don't lend a hand much. What's the problem?

Answers: Every computer I hold have, except for my mature Tandy, go bonkers next to that standby. (The first one be a Hewlett-Packard, purchased at Wal-Mart; the second a Compaq, purchased at Office Depot. My son, a computer main, purchased a Sony laptop; it is more than 5 years weak and still working, so I purchased a Sony Vaio at Circuit City. It is almost 4 years outdated and still working; but, Standby does not work.) So, first, I would suggest disabling standby. You can still use the timeout; the eyeshade go blank after 5 minutes (or anything time you choose).
It probably is the driver; the one for standby.
Disable standby; don't use it. Use the virus scan and whathave you, the disc defragmenter, the disc cleanup and anything else you own, restart it and see if that clears it up.
It did for me...
I'm not an expert, but it could be something bogus in your registry. Try to run a registry cleaner.
