I've started listen to shoutcasts using Winamp. I'm hooked on this "indie" station run by some guys out of Texas. All they play are local artists, and on their website they also urge their listeners to share their music.
I found this program call HiDownload that have the gift to stream shoutcasts, register respectively MP3 played by fetching their tag, and in your favour them on your HD as individual MP3 files.
Never really downloaded music "illegally", but I be wondering if it would be court to transcription other stations that play widely held music (i.e. copyrighted music)?
And if adjectives you do is copy a shoutcast stream using software on your own PC, is it traceable?
I'm not planning on breaking any law (too paranoid more or less FBI raids) but I be wondering if, from a scientific perspective, this would be traceable, and if so, would it be private (from a judicial perspective)?
Thanks!
Answers: It is wrong but they will never know. To them, its purely another user on the stream. I can't suggest of one casing where on earth they own gone after stream downloaders as stand firm to getting them bad of a p2p exchange cards. Just construct sure you aren't distributing them. ;)
