Do you go away your computer on adjectives the time or turn it stale when you are done using it?

Answers: if i'm going to use it again sometime in the subsequent few hours, i be off it on, but push the 'sleep' button. when i'm done for the sunshine, i almost other turn it stale. occasionally, i depart it on overnight to keep under surveillance my screensaver, which is over 1,000 pictures on shuffle! i'm addicted to my screensaver almost as much as my computer! : )

cheers,
Shauna!
usually put it to Hibernate - so its rotten - and doesnt use electricity; and the MACHINE get some rest :) -- thats my philosophy

but i hold friends who resign from it on 24/7 - 365 and some dont even restart.. but again ti depends on the use that you do !!

if its pouring .. lots of applications - afterwards its polite to turn it sour once surrounded by a while .. and how long do you expect yoru computer to concluding :-p

theres nought wrong near departing it on, except it harsh environment spirit - and respectively human being have to do their member within helping out the environment as much as they can!!
We enjoy to computers surrounded by our apartment, and we set out both of them on, but turn bad the monitors when we are done beside them ... EXCEPT when in that is a 'thunderstorm' approaching. We hold obedient 'surge protectors' on both, but we still want to be SURE the computers don't receive compromised by 'electricity surges' so we turn them past its sell-by date when a thunderstorm approaches.
We do this because it take 'extra power' to turn a computer sour and next on again. We don't even 'tough boot' (turn it completely stale and consequently hindmost on) if a 'soft boot' (just 'shut it down', but move off the CPU on) will do.
Off. Laptops are prone to overheat. Mine boiled over twice in its first year. I integer it wishes a break respectively dark from my 14-hour-per-day use!
Turn it stale to conserve energy
I turn mine sour, let it rest and cool, save wear on lover and other components. Our son leaves his own 24-7 and have have no problems, but turning sour save on electricity cost.
Hope this helps
Yes, we must turn it rotten when done. This is to free on electricity and preserve the PC.
Off.
My computer uses more or less 150W when it's fallow, and it's with the sole purpose for computer alone, not counting monitor/speakers! It's not simply save $10 a month (about 30% of my power bill) but also help the environment.

Kris L: computers do use extra power for booting up - roughly speaking 20W extra for 5 minutes. It's much better than 150W shrunken for hours.

Other thoughts: nearby are a few of low part power supplies (it's a computer part) that can fry after full shut down/ starting again. I have a doomed to failure load surrounded by Dells at work - they worked fine, but they be plausible not to boot again after full shut down. We replaced resembling 6 out of 10 of them surrounded by smaller number than 1.5 year.
