because tHE norton wasn't blocking pop ups so I enjoy of late purchased SpywareBot and downloaded it, the pop ups appear to enjoy gone but is it OK to own the two programs on the computer?

sure, it is a great concept to own more than one anti-virus and more than one spyware/malware program! and they should not interact unfavorably. it is quality of similar to going to the doctor and seeing two doctors in stead of one. you hold multiple angles on one and the same issue. I recommend have more than one anyway.
As long as the programs are still working correctly along side respectively other in attendance is no problem at adjectives.
i dont find norton that pious. i recommend an antivirus program: AVG which is free and downloadable. your antispyware i judge is dutiful as okay although you could hold downloaded it for free. devout luck!!
