If you don't hold the administrator password from your former member of staff, afterwards he or she is surrounded by trouble. In Missouri it's a Class C felony to alter notes or prevent access to it.
I've never have to use a password cracker, so I can't recommend one, but in that are several available.

Change the first name to what be originally assigned, and use the original password. If this does not work you may have need of to re-install the piece of equipment. You inevitability to shake up your IT department's protection.
