The Guy previously me is a dumb *** I would newly close to to influence. Zone Alarm is A lot Better.
Personally, I don't trust Windows itself to be in safe hands satisfactory to support a "Security" packet to protect it. I rely on external payment measures (like a Linksys/Netgear/D-link firewall/router or a LINUX/*BSD firewall between the Windows PC and the cable modem). Much, much more immobilize.
