I put my porthole XP cd surrounded by..everything go economically during the installation. until it told me to select a divider of the drive u want to delete. i special C:\ . afterwards a message appeared said, "inept to preform the request, because some facts contained by C:\ is needed to complete this installation. can anyone lend a hand?

i have that problem to a lil while ago next to a computer i be messing around beside. i own mutiple cds so i be competent to fix the problem. ur going to stipulation a boot floppy or boot cd bar the win xp cd to format the drive. not sure if this website is still up n running, but try bootdisk.com
