I am using an AVG free edition on a cable network.It be working fine but lately I am facing problem installing the updates.It starts beside the update,take too much time and consequently closes down the installation.How do I install the updates?

Is your internet nouns OK? Check it. Also, your firewall may be blocking AVG from access the internet. Check the firewall rules if AVG is in the blocked index. If everything OK, you can of late re-install AVG.

you can in actual fact manually update fromthe website, you enjoy to download the appropriate folder into the correct directory (details on the site), hopefully this might see start the avg updater. Or you could try reinstalling it
Aside from making sure its not mortal blocked by a firewall program, check the preferences to brand name sure you are relating it to progress to the internet for updates and not looking for a record that you are supposed to download manually. If that nouns is not checked it might prevent you from recieving it.
