I have a movie on my laptop which i downloaded as a torrent. I also downloaded cracked dvd burning software. Anyway, i added these both to my brothers computer, which have no anti virus protection, as he isn't connected to the internet anyway.
Anyway, i installed the dvd burning software and tried to unequivocal the movie (avi file) beside it, to burn on to a DVD, all the same when i do so, the software of late automatically closed. It could start on other medium files but not the movies?
I consequently uninstalled the software and tried to click on the movie, nonetheless when i move about inside the folder which the movie is in, i maintain getting the window error message. "window have encounter a problem and have to close" (i'm sure you've see it before). This happen every time.
I manage to delete the movie from the workstation, but the problem very soon is that everytime my brother click on an avi database, window medium open even so give an error message "window medium have encounter an error and have to close". All other files work except avi

ur missing codecs and trying to convert the wrong instrument .. install ffdshow and see if it sorts the playing problem out ...

Have you get DivX codec for the movie you trying to scrutinize?
Get AVG free...its you know..FREE.
Maybe it doesn't own a codec.
There are masses variation of .avi, resembling divx, that are different.
Anyway, abundant DVD players don't play .avi files.
Try some other software that converts almost adjectives .avi files to the proper ones used for DVD.

I don't reflect on a virus is the problem. the problem might be your avi codec... try finding a replacement avi codec if you estimate you're computer's avi codec is missing or corrupted. look here:

PS. it is foolish you use a profile sharing program minus any protection for your computer. if you verbs this up (using record sharing networks and downloading cracked software), you will bring back computer problems (viruses, spyware, adware.. etc)
