in my XP, i put a password in my profile folder next when i type it to stretch out my database no password required, what seem to be the problem?

I don't know if this is the answer, but when you craft change surrounded by the Windows system, whether it be files, or settings, you hold to click on APPLY, next OK after making the change.
If you don't click APPLY and basically OK, the change will not help yourself to effect. So, I don`t know that's your problem, you never "saved" your password settings on the folder by clicking "apply" first.
