Firewalls on conservatory computers are in attendance for a drive, to protect the notebook's, not allow forbidden content and reserve bandwidth for all users.
you may be capable of use websites that proposition annoymous surfing by going round the proxy but most of them you cant because the internet for the client laptop's run through the proxy and use it as a gateway for your computers. so going round it will indicate no internet.
