i hold a advent laptop and on the side in that is a port to plug within a mundane mouse and i enjoy tried to plug one contained by from desktop computer but it will not fit ?? whats wrong ? thanks

U may own a port for commonplace mouse but, ur laptop cannot sanction it coz of unavailability of driver (or mouse is bleak!!)
Invest for a usb mouse, damn cheap n more convinient.
would rec usb as cheaper
