Here are the instructions to stop AIM from loading when you start your computer:
1. Go to Start, and press Run.
2. Type in msconfig in the dialog box when it appears.
3. Go to the Startup tab
4. Find the label of AIM's startup item and later uncheck it.
5. Click apply and later close
A message will come up asking you to restart or exit short restart. You can press exit short restart, but the subsequent time you restart your computer, and message will appear recounting you that you enjoy changed the track window starts, etc. You can after simply press the check box that appears near the message. This will stop this message from appearing everytime you start window.
If this does not work, widen AIM and find Preferences or Options or something similar, and look for a substitute that states "Do not run on startup" or something close to that. I don't hold AIM installed on my computer, so I can't give an account you the exact directions. I hope this help you.
most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a out of danger browser. you should use a more protected browser to protect your PC from virus.
i recommand you to use firefox beside Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.
besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.
